Family law is one of the most emotionally driven areas of law because it typically involves the end of a relationship and issues related to children, property, debt and support. The web of relationships is so interwoven that it takes care and expertise to disentangle and navigate through what may be otherwise an emotional time. Information is probably the most essential ingredient upon a breakdown of a relationship. Information leads to options. It empowers you to make informed decisions about your next step and what path you choose. If you require our services, we cover every aspect of family law including: 1. child-related issues including parenting arrangements, custody, guardianship, 2. parenting time and other child-related matters 3. child support including table support and special & extraordinary expenses 4. spousal support 5. incidental orders relating to property including protection of property 6. separation agreements 7. cohabitation & marriage agreements 8. dealing with existing agreements including whether it can be set aside 9. determination and division of excluded property, family property and family debt Our job is to collect information from you to assess your situation. We then give you advice which consists of options and start to plan our next step. We take baby steps and assess your situation at each stage until your matter is brought to a conclusion. We want to be efficient in both time and cost but not at the expense of the result. We want to be part of the solution, not the problem.
