Intergenerational Programs
Intergenerational programs bring children, youth and seniors together
Intergenerational programs create opportunities for different generations to connect and better understand each other. Designed to bridge generational gaps, the programs help foster empathy while combating ageism and stereotypes. They also help improve participants’ self-esteem and reduce seniors’ feelings of loneliness and isolation.
The BC Council for Families is committed to supporting families throughout the various stages of their lives, and believes in the importance of bringing different generations together. We offer a variety of workshops to help you offer intergenerational programs in your community.
